Meet TUCKER adoption pending
Say hello to Tucker! He's a SIX year old, 40 pound boxer mix looking for a home! Please share and help him find his happily ever after! This sweet boy has been shuffled around so much and just needs some love and consistency.
Tucker loves to cuddle and sit in your lap if you let him. He loves affection and belly rubs and loves to take naps on the couch. Did I mention he LOVES to cuddle? He is strong on a leash, but an anti-pull harness or gentle leader can help with that. He is great with older kids - Tucker can be a little bit of a growly sounding talker at times, but it's his way to communicate. If you think about it, dogs don't have many ways to communicate, unlike people. We go through our days showing lots of different emotions. He is currently living with kids that are over ten years old and Tucker does great with them.
He needs an assertive pack leader who can help build trust while using training to make Tucker the best dog he can be. He has likely been hurt before, as he will often cower down when you reach for him. He will jump up and occasionally put his paws on the side of the counter to check if anything good is within reach.
Tucker has a dominant personality, so he does best with submissive females, smaller dogs, or he would be great as an only pet too. Although he can be selective about his doggy friends, Tucker likes to play with his pals out in the yard! Tucker is housetrained and is kenneled while his fosters are at work.

This dog will be at our Adoption Day at the Petco in Apple Valley on Saturday from 11-3 looking for a home!

Policies: You do not have to have a fence to adopt a dog from us, but some dogs will require a fence or acres to play. Also, Since preschoolers are more likely to be bit, we do not place dogs in homes where children under the age of 4 are present. The Adoption Fee is not enough to cover the vet bills. Sales tax of almost 7% is also included in the adoption fee that you see. Please consider donating to Last Hope to help us save these animals! Can you foster? By taking a dog or puppies into your home temporarily and then coming to our adoption days to help find them homes, we can save more!
