Meet Tucker
Say hi to Tucker! Tucker is an almost three year old American Bully mix. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventative, heartworm negative, and microchipped!
He is house trained, kennel trained, leash trained and a good car rider. He knows how to sit, stay, down, and give a paw. He is extremely food motivated and is a very fast learner.
He recently came back to us as he wasn't a good fit for the other dog in the home. Since he's been back, he has spent a lot of time with a trainer to make sure we understand what he needs in an adoptive home and so he can continue to learn!
Here is what his trainer had to say about him! "Tucker is one of the most human friendly dogs I’ve had here. I’d trust him around anyone, even kids. He does show excitement around other dogs at first and can get overly excited when meeting them, which can be a lot for some people/dogs. Keeping him calm during the process makes things go smoother with no issues when you make the introduction. Only restriction I would say is other dogs would be on a case by case. If the intros go well, then it should be just fine, only because he has the type of energy that can make some types of dogs uncomfortable. Followed by allowing him to decompress before expecting them all to cohabitate. Proper intros can eliminate most of that. Again, he’s not dog aggressive or even selective, just high energy excitement when meeting some of them. I will also work with any potential foster/adopter on setting him up for success by showing how to transfer his structure and obedience from here to there."
We know this big guy will bring so much love to his future family! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt him at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application
