What is Half-Way Home Animal Rescue’s adoption process?
All potential adoptive parents must fill out an adoption application, have a home inspection (dogs only) and a vet reference. We take great pride in finding good homes for our stray and abandoned companion pet friends. All pet adoptions include spay or neuter, up-to-date shots, heartworm checked (dogs), FELV/FIV checked (cats), dewormed, vaccinated, have monthly flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention (dogs) and microchip. Half Way Home Animal Rescue DOES NOT have a shelter; all animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care. By having pets in foster care, we are able to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and ensure they are a perfect match for you! Once you have submitted your application to us via email. If approved, we will arrange for a private meeting between you and the pet. When meeting a pet we also offer you the opportunity to ask fosters and volunteers questions in order to get to know the pet and be sure this will be a great fit for everyone.
