Meet Tucco Too Cute
We think Tucco is a Chihuahua, Black Mouth Cur mix, with a hint of Beagle in the ears, nose and paws. He is a rescue, and with rescue it is always a guess! We estimate his age to be around one year old, and he currently weighs in around thirty pounds.
Fall in love with Tucco here: https://youtu.be/0jf6idENaA8?feature=shared
Tucco is currently living the good life, fostered by a couple with four other dogs. Hes living the little dog pack lifestyle with two Westies, a Chihuahua, and a Schnauzer mix. Tucco free roams the house with his doggy foster siblings, and does great! He can be a little shy with new dogs at first, but hes perfectly dog friendly. He lives with little dogs, but hes met a large Husky mix, and a large Black Lab mix and did perfectly coexisting with them. He even shared affection well with them. Tuccos a mellow guy, and his favorite thing to do with other dogs is to snuggle. A medium to low energy dog would be a perfect doggy sibling for Tucco!
This cutie is still learning his leash manners, and with a little practice hell be perfect on leash in no time. At a dog-friendly beach, he trotted right alongside his foster dad off leash with no issue, which is a great sign for future trainability. He adores his people, and seeks comfort in human company. Hes a very people oriented pup. Tucco is a true snugglebug, and loves to be pet and held.
Tuccos foster mom introduced him to us with a five star review. She says hes perfectly sweet, snuggly and docile. She says that shes never heard him bark, and that he doesnt have accidents indoors. Such a dreamy pup!
Tucco is a little bit shy meeting new people, but he warms up with gentle voices and patience. Hes just such a gentle soul. He has a very calm demeanor to him that will surely make him feel like a part of the family in no time. Hes just the type of dog you would want to come home to after a long day at work! And maybe even bring to work his foster dad does on occasion!
Tucco is ready for his happily ever after! We think he would prefer a quieter home, in the suburbs or the countryside. He not much of a city guy, hes more of a Netflix over nightclubs kind of pup. He kindly requests that you stock up on some chew toys before you bring him home, theyre his favorite! While we havent seen him with kids just yet, we think Tucco could do well in a home with older kids. Tucco has been cat-tested, and he was aloof with the kitty. We could definitely see him coexisting peacefully with a dog-savvy cat in your home. We are willing to test Tucco with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
