Trumpet Jack Russell Terrier Mix Sparta, WI

Meet Trumpet! Trumpet is approximately 8-10 months old and thought to be a Jack Russell Terrier type mix.

Trumpet was found as a stray and was not claimed by his family, so unfortunately we don't know what his life was like prior to being found. He was, however, immediately sweet and stole our hearts right away!

So far, Trumpet has displayed a more submissive personality, and tends to be a little bit unsure in new situations. When this happens, he seeks the comfort of the nearest human and loves to be babied. However, he is starting to come into his own and has had successful play time with other dogs! We think he'd love a home with another dog who he can play with and snuggle with. We also think he should do well around children and cats as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised.

Because of Trumpet's age, we want his family to expect everything that comes along with having a puppy. This includes things like potty training, basic obedience/manners training, structured exercise, play time, etc. He already knows sit and is happy to learn more! So far he's doing well in his kennel at the shelter and keeps it clean, so we think utilizing a crate during the transition should go smoothly. He's very smart!

Trumpet has such a sweet and loving temperament and will likely fit in to almost any family who wants an activity companion and a snuggle buddy. If that's what you're looking for, Trumpet would love to meet you! He's now neutered and fully vaccinated.

Trumpet's adoption fee is $240.
