Truman is a gentle giant who prefers not to share his humans with other fur babies. He has a quiet personality and just wants to be where you are! He likes going for a few 30-minute walks each day. Truman walks well on a leash with a gentle lead and loves walking right next to you. Loud vehicles can sometimes startle him so it’s best to walk in a quieter area, away from small animals and other dogs. Truman enjoys outings, treats, naps, more treats, playtime with squeaky toys followed by training and…you guessed it…TREATS! He is very tolerant of grooming including ears and nails, especially when treats are at the ready. Truman loves to nap and falls asleep quickly, and his snoring skills are second-to-none! His whole body wiggles when you greet him!

Adoption Requirements At a Glance.

* You must be 21 years of age
* You must have a fenced in yard (exceptions can be made for certain dogs)
* All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information)
* Applicants with young children will be required to answer additional questions
* Applicants that rent must provide Landlord contact info. NCBR requires verbal landlord approval for all renters.
* We no not do adopt female boxers into homes with other large breed female dogs
* We do not adopt out dogs as gifts
* All pets must be INDOOR companions!
* NCBR does not adopt outside of the Northern California or Reno/Tahoe area.
