I am a well-behaved, playful senior guy looking for a home to live out my Golden Years. I'm a gorgeous shepherd estimated at 9 years old. They say I'm a "senior," but I have a lot of spunk and a lot of love to give. I absolutely LOVE playing with toys and I have been a good boy with other dogs at the rescue! However, I am not a fan of cats. I landed at a county shelter in ruff condition, but thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue pulled me out of that scary place and gave me the medical and general care I needed to be ready to find a new home. <br/>My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to a generous sponsor! 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
