Trixy Saint Bernard & Golden Retriever Mix Cumming, GA

Trixy is a gentle, friendly dog who likes to be in the same room as her foster mom. She cuddles and loves pets. She loves to sniff around the backyard. She is dog friendly but takes some time to warm up to new friends. Her foster mom takes her to the dog park and she does fine. She is indifferent to cats. Trixy is a gentle dog and will likely do okay with kids, but it would be best if they were age 10+ just because Trixy is 70 pounds. She is definitely food motivated. She doesn't play a lot but she does like to have some toys for tossing around or chewing. She is a slow walker and mostly likes to sniff. She can also hike up to 1 or 2 miles. She is not afraid of thunderstorms. She does not wake you up in the morning and lays down until you get up. House and crate trained. Trixy is being fostered in Atlanta.

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.
