Trixie & Penny English Bulldog Bancroft, ON

Trixie and Penny, Female Mini Bulldogs. Penny 2 years old, 34 lbs. Trixie, 5 years old,44 lbs.

We very much hope that these 2 dogs will be adopted together. They are best friends and Penny is especially dependent on her big sister Trixie.
Their foster Dad who knows both dogs well writes as follows about each of them.

Trixie: Has an outgoing personality. She is very friendly and I doubt there is a mean bone in this girl’s body.
Her only issue has been her weight (which is being controlled with special food and regular walks) and we are happy to report that she has dropped almost 5 pounds since she has been here.
That weight loss has has accounted for her spryness now and for her being just a bit more agile. She needs to continue on with this for the next while to lose the excess weight she has been carrying around for too long.
And who wouldn’t love her overbite? Some would call it ugly but I think it gives her that special appearance.
She will no doubt would be very good around children and other pets just along as the new owners can shower her with love and attention. She adores being petted and taken for walks.
Trixie likes her crate and can spend quite a bit of time in there.
She is a really quiet and laid back soul.
Trixie doesn't’t really play with toys or chase balls and she will certainly do well for someone who wants a low maintenance companion.

Penny: Is much shyer than her partner. She doesn't warm up as quickly with new people so patience and lots of it will be necessary for the first little while. Very ‘skittish’ if you make a loud noise or try to pet her if she isn’t watching you.
This Well behaved young lady certainly likes her crate and would probably prefer to be in it,(door doesn't have to be closed) than being left out alone.
Penny likes to take "reminders" around with her such as your shoes and slippers if you are not watching.
She is not the most playful of dogs but on occasion she will take a chew toy and make friends with it.
Penny also had a weight problem. Regular walks and a carefully watched diet have been a great help.
I doubt very much she would pay much, if any, attention to small children so if the new owners want a playful dog, Penny would not be the one to choose.
She is just a great, low key, low maintenance mini bulldog who will just need patience and understanding for the first little while in her forever home.

The adoption fee for the 2 dogs together is $850. They have been spayed, their vaccinations are up to date and they have microchips.
