Meet Trixie (great family dog)
ANOTHER DOG IS REQUIRED!
Trixie is a great dog! She is a tree walker coon hound mix. She is loveable, friendly to people kids and other dogs, and will warm your heart. She is potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out by nosing you. She has the cutest little howl when she is excited for walks or to play. She is pretty calm and quite. She tolerates cats, meaning sometimes she will chase them but doesn’t hurt them. She will be the perfect companion for someone who will be close to her. When she is alone she feels the world is coming to a end and will do everything possible to get out. I call her little Houdini because she can climb out of a 6ft chain link cage and slip out of a 1in opening on a wire cage. We have setup a zip line for her to go potty which works pretty well. She is medicated for her anxiety but medication only will do so much. She needs a person that will either work from home or will be home majority of the time. She also hates guns/ fireworks/ and thunder. When someone is home she will pace and drool. When alone for extended periods she will rip fabric, jump on counters, chew wood. She is fine in a cage for short periods but really needs someone who is home or can be put someplace secure. Her favorite types of activities are walks, tug of war, and belly rubs. She doesn’t really understand fetch and prefers to stay out of the water. She does fine in the car and being left alone in the car for short periods. Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Trixie is about 44 pounds and up to date on vaccines, preventatives and is spayed. She is approximately 2 years old. Her adoption fee is $300. Please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting her.
Foster family is located in Bath, MI and willing to travel up to 30 minutes to meet someone.
In order to adopt one of our puppies or dogs, an application must be filled out prior to being invited to meet the dog.
Please note that these animals in most cases are abandoned and therefore breeds and sizes are our best estimates based on years of experience. Many times we do not know the parents, so we are guessing. If you are looking for a specific breed or size maybe rescue is not for you, it is very possible you will adopt a puppy we say will be medium size and the pup may be smaller than estimated or may be larger than estimated. We do our best but many times we are wrong so please beware of this before rescuing from us.
