Its easy to gush about Trixie! We tell her she is perfect all of the time because, well, she is! When you first started interacting with Trixie, she may be a bit hesitant - Trixie can be shy with new people. While she can be a little nervous of getting into a strangers car, when she trusts you, shell hop right in, curl into a ball, and go to sleep. She is a very loyal dog, the type of pup that wants to be around her person all of the time once she knows they are safe.Trixie transforms out of the kennel and has enjoyed many adventures around town and even some overnights! Out and about, she walks well on leash (and does great on hikes), doesnt seem to mind other dogs (shes currently enjoying a doggy kennel mate), and stays curious. Shes visited some local coffee shops with volunteer friends and been very well behaved. She stays alert of course (classic Trixie always scanning her surroundings), but eventually she winds down and just lays right beside her human in the cafe. Once she gets home, Trixie winds down easily and becomes a real cuddle bug who LOVES giving hugs! Trixie is a very polite guest who only gets on furniture when she gets a YES, knows sit and lie down, and comes when shes called! Shes shown house-trained behavior at the shelter, though sometimes longtime residents like Trixie need some support in getting to 100% in their own home. Trixie is clearly perfect, but she wont mind if her human isnt - she really just wants someone who will treat her with love and patience. And if you want to spoil her with her favorite foods now and then, Trixie just loves bacon and vanilla ice cream pup cups! Trixie's is a lucky pup and has no adoption fee.
