Hi, I am Trixie, a 10lb, 6 year old, sophisticated, sweet, senior Chihuahua, just looking for my retirement home. I was found wandering the streets of California with a buddy before we were scooped up by animal control. I arrived needing to be spayed, no microchip and in need of some TLC. After no luck finding my owners, I fell into the hands of Mila’s Mutts. I’m staying with an amazing foster Mom, with other foster dogs. Its been one, big Chihuahua party with her, and honestly I’m loving it! However, its time for me to find my forever family before I get too comfy here. Im a unique girl, I prefer to just hang out next to you. I wouldn’t call myself a lap dog or even a dog that likes to snuggle. My rescue family believes I was severely abused, I cry when picked up but I am not in any physical pain, just emotional. I also don’t like my head touched, its just too much for me right now. I would love to find a person to let me snuggle up next to them, on my own terms. Im learning that people are not all the same and I can start to trust the good ones. Due to my unique situation, I don’t have any much experience on leash. My ideal home would be a quiet home with a fenced yard. I absolutely love to sun bathe, window watch and play with toys. I am great with other dogs and would benefit from a home with another confident dog. I am a little anxious at times, having a buddy to show me the ropes would just be the bow to my wow.
