Meet Trisquel
This litter of Linux distros will take over your heart and keep it safe from hackers.
With a guesstimated birthdate of April 2021, these sweet babies were born in an abandoned building.
Trisquel (/Tri-skel) is an affectionate boy, looking for his forever family to shower with love. He's bigger than his sisters (Kali & Garuda) and weighs about 70 lb.
Trisquel is leash-savvy and comfy in a 48" crate. He's house-trained when kept on a regular schedule. He loves being around his people so is willing to ride in the scary car in order to spend time on adventures with them.
Trisquel is food motivated, but not aggressive. He'll wait patiently for his turn to take treats in a pack. He knows to sit for them and will gaze longingly at his foster mom - especially when she has a dog cookie for him :)
Tris isn't unpleasant toward small children, but they make him nervous as he has difficulty predicting their behavior. Children move quickly and awkwardly, which can be concerning to some dogs.
**********
Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.
If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.
A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.
Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.
We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies.
Not all foster dogs are available for viewing during public events at Tractor Supply (360 Blowing Rock Blvd) in Lenoir, NC. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete. Fees are required in cash. For more information on our organization, our website is www.FoothillsCanineRescue.org.
