Meet Trevor
Trevor is a handsome tan with black marking male pup. He was estimated to have been born January 28th of 2022. Trevor and two of his siblings were dropped off at the Carter County animal shelter in West Virginia in pretty good shape except Trevor had a damaged eye.
His left eye was removed and eyelid sewn closed, he could be up to 80 pounds fully grown. No one knows Trevor’ breed, but have guessed Lab, Mastiff, Plott Hound and others but he doesn’t fit all the standards of any specific breed so he is definitely a mix.
He has a very easy going laid back personality, likes children, people, and loves other dogs. He enjoys playing tug of war and keep away as well as wrestling with his brother and some with the foster’ 35 pound Beagle mix. He has been exposed to 5 adult larger dogs and does well. Rides well in the car. Walks on a lead but does wonder around and under your feet so will need some training to walk well.
Trevor is crate trained, and doing very well on house training. If you take him out regularly he is great. When left alone in the room for over a couple hours, he had a couple of accidents in the last week. Trevor likes sleeping on your lap while you are watching TV.
His activity level is perhaps bit lower than average but will play when there is someone around. He sleeps through the night in his crate (9:30 to 6:00) without protest. He enjoys chew toys, tug-of-war, chewing on sticks, and playing with other dogs. Troy would do best with a fence as he loves to wonder around stiffing and playing in the flower beds or high grass..
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
