Tracker Labrador Retriever Golden, CO

Calling all lovers of handsome, active and lovable black Labs . . . Tracker is interviewing Lab lovers for his perfect forever home! “Here’s me in a nutshell”, he wags. “I’m about 3.5 years old, weigh a trim 77 pounds, love to play with dog pals, retrieve and play with toys, and hang out with you!” We can add Tracker is a pup who looks on the bright side and loves people even though he was found stray with a too-tight collar and dragging a chain.

His foster family tells us he’s finding life pretty darn good these days:
“We love Tracker's playful personality, and he definitely keeps us on our toes. He is also very loving and will cuddle up next to us when he is ready for some attention. He is very playful and has lots of energy! He is also very curious about everything! Tracker is overall a very loveable dog with a lot of great characteristics. He loves to play fetch, play with our dog Reese, go on walks, get scratches, and take naps on his dog bed.”

Tracker knows sit so far, takes treats gently and is touching up his house training after a long shelter stay, and is accustomed to a crate. He walks pretty well on leash, but hold on if he finds something interesting! After a moment of shyness he’s an enthusiastic greeter who keeps four-on-the-floor. Once in the car, he rides well, but due to some trauma in his past, finds the getting in part very scary. His new family will need patience for car transports.

“Tracker will do well with a family who is home more than gone; he wants so badly to be loved and to have that connection with a family. He will do well as an only dog or with another dog that has energy to keep up with his. Tracker will need an active family and one that has a lot of patience as they work with him to set boundaries! Once he is in the right home, he is going to be the most loving and loyal dog ... we are excited to see him continue to grow!”

NOTE: Tracker is a tall Lab, so a six-foot fence will be best in new his backyard.
