Meet Topsy
Topsy is a 3+ month old curly tailed puppy. As of 2/22/22 she weighs 14 pounds and will likely be a medium sized dog. Topsy is currently in a home with three children and three other dogs.
Topsy spent the first couple months of her life under a house with her siblings, with minimal to no human interaction. From there she was taken to a vet and before getting to leave the vet for a foster home she and her two siblings came down with Parvo, so they had to stay at the vet a while longer. Since Topsy wasn’t socialized with people when she was very young, and her first experience with people was having a lot of medical things done that she didn’t particularly care for, Topsy is shy to human hands.
Topsy has been in her foster home for three weeks. She has come sooo far and is an absolute dream dog. She still shies away some, but wants to, and will, love her human sooo much! As of now, with humans she is used to, Topsy will go lay down on a dog bed with her tail wagging, and let you pet her or pick her up. Her foster is confident Topsy will become trusting over time as long as her adopter is patient. Topsy has the perfect temperament with dogs. She has been around all different dog personalities. Being with dogs helps Topsy feel comfortable and confident, so, Topsy will need to be adopted by someone who has a fun furry friend. Topsy is a happy girl who is a delight to be around. She is medium energy.
Topsy is doing great with potty training. She always prefers to go to the bathroom outside, but as with any puppy, needs to be watched closely and taken out often. Topsy sleeps in her crate all night and doesn’t make a peep. Topsy rides with her foster family to take the kids to school every day and does great. She is such an adaptable dog with the best personality!
*Bonus- a DNA test has been done on Topsy and the results should be back in about two weeks from 2/22/22 ?
Topsy is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $200.
