Meet Topaz
If you would like to visit one our amazing pups, please review the policies below, complete an online application www.adoptmountainpets.org and give us call if you have any questions prior to coming by. 970 626 2273
Topaz is a 2 and a half year-young Heeler mix with an incredibly happy personality and loves everyone she meets. Topaz loves cuddle time, going for long walks and playing with all of her dog friends. Topaz would make a great hiking partner and Netflix binging partner. Topaz is a blue eyed sweetie and you will always see her with a wagging tail!
We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.
Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.
Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills. Please be prepared to provide that training and dedication that will be needed.
We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.
It is important everyone in the home is introduced to the new pet.
We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.
All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.
Adopters will be considered on the totality of the application and how it matches the particular pet's needs. Please also bring photo identification if you plan to adopt.
Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
