Tootsie is a beautiful, funny girl with one blue eye and one brown eye. She ended up in a high-kill shelter in rural SC. Unfortunately, her previous owner didn't take very good care of her. So, HT rescued her so she could have a chance at a new life.

She is a wiggly girl with a short, stubby tail. This cutie pie is very loving and likes to snuggle. Tootsie is very active and has a lot of energy. Since she can be overly exuberant, she often greets humans by jumping on them. Tootsie needs to find a person who is willing to provide her with obedience training. She is already crate trained and uses the doggy door. Tootsie gets along great with other dogs. This special girl is looking for an equally special person or family to love.

Can you please give this pretty girl the home she needs? She will repay you with joyous barks, happy tail wags, sloppy kisses, and lots of love. Please apply to adopt Tootsie today.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. Our adult animal fees range and are based on: fees we pay to shelters, vetting costs, transport costs, and boarding costs. Some animals cost more than others to rescue, so that is why our fees range from $275-$350.

Be sure to ask us about getting a free 30-minute phone consult with a professional dog trainer within the first 30 days of adopting - just for HT adopters. Start your new dog out on the right foot with this valuable, expert advice and guidance FREE!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering.

Thank you for contacting Homeward Trails Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!
