Tony Pit Bull Terrier Mix Lexington, KY

Tony is a huge lover boy who is about 4 or 5 years old. He adores people, and wants to be near his human all the time. He especially loves to give hugs and cuddle. He doesn’t realize how big he is!

Tony does excellent in his crate, and will often put himself to bed by going in his crate. He loves to have blankets or dog beds in his crate with him- but he also loves to “redesign” his blankets and pillows into many little pieces.

Tony is house trained as well, and will alert you when he needs to go potty.

Tony is a big, strong guy. He has learned a lot about walking on a leash, but could still use some work on his pulling. Tony can be a couch potato, and lay around all day watching TV with you- but outside, he is full of energy and excitement! He loves water of all kinds- lakes, ponds, creeks, pools and water hoses- and he always loves to go for a swim. He also loves to go hiking, and he will hang with you for however long you wish to go. Tony rides excellently in a car, and loves the occasional “pup cups” from local eateries.

Tony is a guardian. No one will enter your driveway or home without Tony making his presence known, and alerting his humans someone is there. With a simple introduction, Tony can see the visitors pose no threat and his tail wags begin. However, Tony cannot be around any other animals, of any kind. Tony has a very high prey drive, and as such, he can play with toys pretty roughly. We are requiring a home with children 12+ so that the child is old enough to understand appropriate behavior and boundaries with Tony.

Tony would make an amazing companion for either a family or single human, who is wanting a companion to come with them wherever they go.
