Meet Tonnie - Adoption Pending!
13-month old Tonnie was originally purchased to be a livestock guardian dog. Tonnie, however, had other plans for her life and found that roaming the countryside and visiting with children were much more pleasant ways to spend her time. As a result of this career choice Tonnie was tied to a tree 24/7 and eventually came to GPRW.
Tonnie was good with the male dog who lived with her on the farm. She was said to have chased the cats, but never harmed them. Both Tonnie and another female dog on the property did not care for each other, which is not abnormal for female Pyrs.
Tonnie will soon be fully vetted. Once she is spayed and brought up to date on immunizations she will be ready for a new home!
