STUNNING, YOUNG BOY FOUND AS A STRAY, WAS FRIENDLY, BUT NOW HAD MINOR BITE AND NOW IN QUARANTINE- CAN ONLY BE PULLED FROM THE SHELTER BY A RESCUE GROUP NOW. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS THOUGH. MUST BE PULLED BY END OF QUARANTINE.
We are calling him Tommy and he is very urgent after being found as a stray and he ended up at the OC Shelter in quarantine.
We were told someone found him in a park with a leash attached, and took him home for the last few weeks. At some point, he had several minor bites that did not result in sutures. According to the reporting party, he “indicated that he was able to leash dog and walk him around the neighborhood with no issues. RP indicated that the dog played with his neighbor's chow with no incidents”.
We have some additional shelter notes we can provide, and are still trying to get more information. We were told he walked on a leash fine at intake, but a catch pole was then used as a precaution.
Tommy is estimated to be 3 years old and has no noted medical issues noted, but no thorough exam has been done.
We are currently looking for a chow savvy foster or foster to adopt and rescue to save him in time.
