South Suburban Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Adoption Requirements at the South Suburban Humane Society
1. All adopters must be 18 years of age.
2. All members of the household are encouraged to meet.
3. Be certain pets are allowed in your home or apartment.
An adoption interview is required prior to adoption. Please bring a photo ID.
Upon approval, you can go home with your pet* after their spay/neuter procedure (often same day). Your pet will leave up-to-date with their vaccines, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter.
Kittens under 6 months of age: $100
Cats over 6 months of age: $25
Puppies under 6 months of age: $200
Dogs over 6 months of age: $50
*All dogs must leave with leash and collar. If you do not have one, you may purchase at time of adoption.
* All cats must leave in a carrier or cardboard carrier. If you do not have one, you may purchase at time of adoption.
