Meet Tom
Meet Tom, a beautiful one-year-old, 60 lb. black lab/staffordshire terrier mix. He came to Connecticut from Texas where he was in the shelter for four months, which is crazy because this guy is perfection! If you’re looking for the BEST DOG EVER, you’ve found one!
Tom is just the sweetest boy – he is incredibly loving and affectionate. He will happily greet you with a wagging tail, big smile, and giant bear hug! He has a nice low energy level and is well-mannered and quiet. Tom is friendly with everyone he meets and was previously in a foster home with young children and both big and small dogs. He’ll sometimes play with toys but he’s mostly pretty chill and just wants to be by your side for snuggles.
He is also very smart and highly treat motivated. In the short amount of time that he has been in foster, he has learned “sit” and “paw.” Tom is housetrained and is working on bell training to let his foster family know when he has to go out. He walks great on leash and does well in his crate, where he’ll sleep throughout the night. Tom really enjoys being outside and would love a fenced yard to relax in with his new family. He’ll make a wonderful addition to any home!
