Toby's Story

Toby and Tanner's story is one that tugs at the heartstrings. These two sweet seniors came to us after their beloved owner became disabled and could no longer care for them. It's clear they were cherished - and it shows in how gentle, trusting, and affectionate they are.

Toby is a long/wire-haired Dachshund mix, and Tanner is a Chihuahua mix. Both are over 10 years old, house trained, crate trained, and have lived with cats. They may be older, but they're full of life - happy, bubbly little guys who greet every day with tail wags and bright eyes. They seem to have a soft spot for women, but honestly, a few treats will make you their new best friend in no time.

The truth is, Toby and Tanner are deeply bonded. They've been side by side for years - through the good times and the hard ones - and they find comfort and confidence in each other's presence. Watching them together, it's easy to see that they belong as a pair. While we can't require that they be adopted together, it would mean the world to them (and to us) to see them live out their golden years in the same loving home.

If you have room in your heart - and on your couch - for two gentle souls who will return your love tenfold, please come meet Toby and Tanner. They've already lost so much... but together, they're ready to love again.
