We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. This dog will require a fully physically fenced yard. Fencing must be in place at time of home visit.

Meet Toaster!

Toaster is an 8 month old shepherd and smooth collie mix with a heart of gold! He is about 50 pounds with expressive light brown eyes and giant paws. He loves being around his people, chewing bones, going for walks and tugging ropes. He does great when he meets other dogs, and we think he’d love to have dog friends. We’re not sure how he would feel about a cat. He is completely housebroken and enjoys training– he has learned quickly how to sit and stay.

During the day when his people are out, Toaster stays in his crate. He’s still learning which things are his to chew on, so he hasn’t earned free reign just yet. He doesn’t mind though and we think that once he gets a little older and has some more training, he will be ok. When his foster family is home, he likes spending time with them. Once he settles in his crate for bedtime, Toaster will sleep through the night in his crate downstairs until he’s ready for his morning potty break…and to see his people, of course!

Toaster is a sweetheart who has so much love to give and always wants to be around his people. If you are able to teach him a few last doggy skills he will be a loyal, loving companion!

All our dogs have been treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption.
