Tito Dachshund Somers, CT

This is Tito! Tito is approximately 10 years old, but don’t let his age fool you. He is really a puppy at heart. He has gone through a lot in his years prior to being rescued and can be a little nervous at first. But once he is comfortable, you have a best friend attached at the hip. He loves attention and cuddles and loves to be included in whatever you are doing. He likes other dogs and ignores cats. We are unsure about children. Tito thinks he is a big puppy in a tiny dog body and wants to be involved with everything.
Recently, Tito has undergone treatment for heartworm, he is currently on a low exercise activity level for the next few weeks (much to his dismay). Once he is back to his normal activity level, he will be exploring and bouncing around like normal. Tito is also partially blind, he can see a good amount out of one of his eyes, but his hearing and sense of smell make up for any lack of sight. This does not affect him very much other than the occasional run into a door or wandering further than he should. It is important to be sure he is not unattended when outside and to be sure there is nothing around on the floor for him to get into.
We would recommend a quiet home for Tito. He likes other dogs, but due to his size and age we would recommend smaller or calmer dogs. Tito will give 10000% of his heart to his person and will make you his whole world, he is an awesome boy and has nothing but love to give.
