Meet Tito

Tito is an exuberant, active, friendly young lab who has had a hard time catching a break in life.

This boy was brought to the shelter in July with a broken front leg, after a Good Samaritan found him. Tito was lucky enough to find a foster home so he could heal -- but came back to the shelter after eating some de-greaser. Lab pups in general need a lot of exercise and they need to be kept away from things they can damage when their person is gone, because they tend to get into things and chew. Tito did that.

He is also a smart boy who adores training -- he loves earning treats and toys. He likes puzzle toys, too. He is friendly and can be super-affectionate, but he also can be rambunctious and jump up on people, so he needs someone who is used to handling big dogs and can help this boy grow into the model canine citizen he was meant to be.

Tito needs a home that will give him the mental and physical activity and loving structure that he craves. To help with that, Tito's adopter will get a $250 voucher toward training to make sure he gets a good start in his new life.

His time is running out quickly to find a forever home. Please visit Tito at Austin Animal Center in East Austin on Levander Loop if you think you may have room in your home and heart for him. His animal ID # is 632753, and he is in Kennel 209. Feel free to email or to call volunteer Peggy with any questions, 512 496-7090.

Tito is a bit over a year old now, and he is neutered.
