Our handsome guy needs an owner with large dog handling skills. Titan will also need to meet his new owner several times before he can go home. This is to ensure he feels comfortable with his new friend. Also, Titan would do best in a home with a single person as he doesn't want to share the love and affection. He will benefit from a dog-savvy owner who will make sure he gets proper training to help him thrive. Titan is young and eager to please - he LOVED going to agility courses, so we think he would continue to excel with an owner that is willing to take him. Training is a huge confidence booster, which is exactly what young Titan needs - it is essential in helping him build his social skills and will help him learn that he doesn't have to guard his best buddy.
Titan recently lost weight because of a temporary condition called dysbiosis of the intestine - a microbial gut imbalance. He has recovered much of his lost weight and is feeling much better. He will require a vitamin B12 pill to be given daily, indefinitely.
He can be toy possessive at times. Due to this and his timidness, we feel that he will do best in a home without small children, so no kids under the age of 12.
His minimum adoption donation is $265 plus a $12 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
