Tio Dachshund Mix Plantersville, TX

Meet Tio! This little cutie is a 2 year old Dachshund mix, weighing about 18 lbs. He is very playful but is also affectionate and does know how to chill. He really loves other dogs so would be best suited with a canine sibling to play with. Tio seems to like all humans, big and small, and has been around children in the 9-12 year old ages with no problem. He is crate trained and is doing well on his potty training when taken out frequently. He does like doggie chews and really loves mealtime! He walks well on a leash and has mastered walking with other dogs.

Tio is smart as a whip and athletic, too. He learned to "sit" in only a few tries! He is very treat motivated, which makes training so much easier. He is also a very fast runner for a dog with such short legs!

Tio can be independent and is okay with being alone at times but he really thrives with canine companions - he adores the playtime and interaction. Tio also loves the affection and attention that comes with human companions so is well suited for a family environment. He really wants to cuddle up with his humans at bedtime – he will get his blanket and bowl out of his crate and carry them to his foster parents’ bed to set them on top, just to remind them that’s where he wants to sleep. How adorable is that?
