Meet Tiny Tina
Meet Tiny Tina a sweet girl looking for her lifelong bestie! Tina is (best guess) a 3 year old Norwegian Elkhound mix, and came to STS after her owner passed away. Now she needs to find a new companion to share life with!
Tina is social and loves to be with people she is warm and affectionate and loves a good tummy rub or head scratch. She loves snuggling on the couch watching TV, laying at your feet while you work at your desk, or basking in the sun's rays while you work around the house. Tina does best with someone who appreciates a daily walk or run.
Tina would love to be your adventure companion. While she could take multiple walks covering many miles each day, it seems she thrives with at least (2) 20-minute walks a day. A large fenced-in yard would be another great alternative.
Tina is house-trained and crate-trained, and currently sleeps all night in her crate and is happy in her crate when no one is at home. The interim shelter Tina spent time at reported she was good with the other dogs there. We have found she is initially a bit overwhelmed and nervous around other dogs, so she might do best in a home without other pets, but the shelter's report leads one to believe she might do just fine given some time to warm up to a pet sibling.
She chases cats.
We have found she is dog selective in emclosed spaces-prefers a submissive yet still active companion but would also be happy being the center of attention.
Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.
STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
