Tiny (bonded with Lily) Maltese & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Greensboro, NC

Tiny is a 3yr old, tan Morkie who weighs 6 lbs. Her mom, Lily, is a 4yr old, white Malti-Zu who weighs 8 lbs. They are a fabulous mother-daughter duo and adoptable as a bonded pair.

These two are active, happy little dogs who are friendly and love affection. If you are looking for sleeping buddies, these two are great. Tiny likes to burrow under the covers, and Lily likes to sleep on top of the covers, and the best part - they don’t move until you do! They are playful but not hyper and good at entertaining themselves. Even though they are a bonded pair, they are equally interested in people. They are good little watchdogs who quickly alert you, so no shared walls for these two.

Tiny’s personality is closer to a Yorkie’s - bouncing, happy, barking and twirling who wants to chase small critters in the yard. She needs a helicopter parent because she doesn’t know which animals are safe to pursue and which might hurt her. Both girls are good about coming when called but don’t let that fool you; they are quick and will try to shoot out a cracked doorway in no time. They are not suitable for a home with children or anyone who might easily trip because they are fast, young, and small. The first thing they did at their foster home was check every inch of the fence and stick their heads through every little opening.

Lily has more of a Shih Tzu personality – a little more independent, not as in-your-face as Tiny, but loving and wants to be with her people.

They are fully house-trained, with excellent manners and good appetites.

An all-adult home (no children or grandchildren) and a yard with a secure fence, 4ft or higher, which is attached to the home is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. No exceptions.

There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.

Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dogs after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.

Adoption fee is $450 per dog.

Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.
