DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, my name is Tiny, but actually I am NOT that small! I am a medium size, still full of puppy energy, mixed shepherd. I definitely like to get my energy out with romps and play. Once I get my exercise, I settle nicely and will be your couch buddy. Since I am still a puppy, I am strong on leash and need training. I love to jump and play nip, so more direction on proper doggy manners is in order for me. (Older children only, as my exuberance may be too much for little ones!). If you are looking for a dog with some spunk who will get you off the couch and moving, I'm your gal!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
