Tinkerbell is PENDING adoption's Story

Tinkerbell is a 6 year old, 20lb terrier mix who has been with us since November 2024. Tinkerbell is a very sweet and spunky girl who loves attention. This girl is very active! She loves to play ball and go for walks and then plop on your lap for the rest of the day.

Tinks does have 6 screws in her leg as a result of a fracture, so she may be prone to arthritis later in life but she has ZERO limitations as a result of her injury. She is house and crate trained, and knows her basic manners. It had been previously noted that Tinks can be a barker (typical with terriers) so we didn't think apartment living was a good option for her. In her current foster home, this isn't an issue so apartment living could work, depending on the environment and living situation.

She does not do well living with other dogs and isn't so sure of cats but she seems to be good with people of all ages, and seems to enjoy calm, respectful kids. Tinks walks great on leash and loves to go everywhere out and about with her people. She is great in stores, on public transportation, she's just great out in public. She especially enjoys "participating" while her foster Mom does yoga and supervises foster Dad while he works from home.

Tinks is a wonderful little dog and will make someone a great little best friend.

Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale and collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming etc.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

Almost Home Rescue of New England is a 501 c 3 non-profit rescue; rescuing dogs since 2005. All Adoption applications are completed on line at www.almosthomerescue.net

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.

PLEASE NOTE - We will check your veterinary reference, to ensure that current and prior dogs have a history of being kept up to date on rabies and distemper, have had annual heartworm tests, and are on heartworm preventative at least 6 months of the year. Current pets must by spayed/neutered.

Applications can be found at: www.almosthomerescue.net
