Meet Tinkerbell

PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG

Tinkerbell was surrendered to Lovebugs Rescue after her former family could no longer care for her. When she came to us, she was terribly matted and hardly more than skin & bones at just 5 lbs. We noticed that Tinkerbell had the same symptoms as one of our past Lovebugs, who also had difficulty gaining weight. One simple blood test to measure pancreatic enzyme levels, and we had a diagnosis and treatment plan!

Tinkerbell has a condition called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), which means that her pancreas does not produce the enzymes necessary to digest her food properly. It is very easy to treat, but difficult to diagnose if you don't know what to look for. Tinkerbell is now on a special diet with enzymes added to help her digest her food and absorb all the nutrients she needs to live a long happy life. Tinkerbell is a sweet little doll baby who loves to be with her special humans. She gets along well with other dogs and is learning the ropes in her foster home. Tinkerbell is a 2 year old, 5 pound, Maltese mix. A healthy weight for Tinkerbell would be 7-9 lbs.

Tinkerbell's adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, registered microchip, vaccines up to date and deworming.
