TILLY Great Pyrenees & Border Collie Mix Point Richmond, CA

Tilly needs to be in the country to be at her best self, she is best suited to go to a home with a LARGE fenced yard as she enjoys relaxing, and having control over her outdoors. She sometimes enjoys hanging out indoors, but chooses most often to be in the great outdoors, though sleeping nearby in a protected (ideally) area attached to the home. Tilly enjoys the proximity of a pal dog or two but she is basically a loner who is also slow to engage with new people, and new dogs, and makes decisions as to whether she wants to engage or not - an independent gal at heart, preferring sleeping on a cushy bed or couch outdoors, though also lays or runs about, or settles in the snow or rain quite unfazed and she needs great encouragement to come in or onto the protected porch!
TIlly is not a dog for a social family who wants a dog engaging with their visitors, nor is she a dog to be urban and happy on a leash out in the world, she is pretty true to her breed - loyal to her place - a guardian of people and place - not good with livestock or small animals such as cats.

Great Pyrenees, which seems to be her dominant breed, are loyal, protective, can be minimally social, classically mellow and watchful.

No cats for this girl, as she has a high prey drive.
