Tiberius Riker (Ty) Australian Shepherd & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Meet Tiberius Riker, Ty for short. He is 4 years old and 55 lbs and looking for his forever family.

Ty was originally with our rescue as a puppy and was adopted. Sometime later his adopter moved across the country with Ty (he went by a different name then) and sadly ended up with a new person in the home who was abusive and cruel to Ty for years. Thankfully his adopter reached out to return him to us and he has been in an incredible foster home, getting the time, patience, and love he needed to heal and recover. He's come leaps and bounds and is ready for the next big step in his journey.

Ty is a goofy, silly, sweet, and chill guy. He is house and kennel trained and LOVES going for walks. He walks beautifully on a leash/harness.

Ty isn’t the kind of dog who will play with toys or chase other dogs. He much prefers to lay next to you on the couch and watch Law and Order and Chopped. He really likes Chopped! If the couch is full, he’ll just plop down under your feet. He wants to be close to his person. He barks when he gets excited for his walk or
when he wants a snack (he loves carrots and apples the best). Otherwise, he’s super quiet. He loves getting belly rubs. He tolerates being brushed. He hates having his toenails trimmed (but what doggo really loves it?).

Ty came to us experiencing terrible allergies (with awful symptoms) and it took a bit to determine he has an allergy to most meats. He is doing great on an allergy friendly dog food (4Health Salmon & Potato) and gets Cytopoint allergy shots and is now itch and symptom free!

Ty is an easy going guy and has done wonderful with the children in his foster home. He loves to snuggle up with one of them and watch tv! Ideally, he would go to a home with another dog to keep him company but he would be just fine as an only dog. He has also done just fine with the cat in his foster home.

Tiberius deserves the absolute best home where he can be spoiled, loved and treated with gentleness and kindness. For the rest of his life.

Ty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and preventative, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
