Meet Thor – Shy Guy Turned Adventure Guy! Thor may share a name with a Norse god, but he’s more “soft-spoken sweetheart” than “hammer-slinging hero.” A proud graduate of the shelter’s Shy Dog Program, Thor has gone from hiding behind his blanket to being ready for hikes, jogs, and possibly light superhero duties. He still gets a little nervous sometimes—sudden movements, loud noises, and possibly vacuum cleaners—but offer him a treat (gently, please!) and you’re halfway to winning his heart. He's crate trained, knows a few tricks, and is working on his confidence every day. Kids over 12 and a meet-and-greet with other dogs are recommended. As for cats, Thor is more interested in chasing them than being friends so we recommend a home with dogs only.
