Meet Thor

Meet Thor, a beautiful Pyrenees at about 2-4 years of age. Thor definitely has the Pyrenees size at about a hundred pounds.
Thor has a ton of love to give to a lucky adopter for sure. Thor is wonderful on a leash and even given his size he does not at all pull. His favorite pastime is traveling to the local park to take a leisurely stroll and people watch. He loves the spots at the park under the big trees with plenty of shade with the breeze running through his hair. Thor also enjoys his car rides and loves to hang out in the backseat. Of course a treat of a cheeseburger is always a plus. Thor has met a couple strangers and has done well with them.
Thor is a big teddy bear who loves receiving head scratches from his person. He is very lackadaisical about any task in life and loves to complete those tasks at a leisurely pace. Either Thor doesn’t know his name very well or he is the typical Pyrenees in which he likes to ignore, we are going for the latter! Thor is an overall great dog and very low key in his foster home. He enjoys his stroll around the yard and would need a physical fence since Pyrenees do have some wanderlust.
Thor is a poster child for the characteristics you often hear about associated with the Pyrenees breed. Thor is a protector of his yard and therefore one should avoid introducing him to new people or new dogs in his domain. Thor also has the typical personality of I will do what I want when I want like most typical Pyrenees. He can also be playful and mouthy at times particularly loving peoples feet ????
Thor is most definitely in need of an adopter who has experience with breed. He does great with his foster mommy who has fostered many Pyrenees but those who don’t have experience with the breed are not able to successfully transition him into their home. For those with experience Thor will be an easy pup to adopt.
Thor is Lyme positive so he will need a regular yearly booster of Lyme due to this diagnosis. Lyme is a tick borne disease.
