Hello there. My name is Themis, and I'm trying to find a loving home to spend my forever in. I am a handsome, 12+ year old, 15-pound, mixed breed guy. My story is kind of sad. You see, my previous owner had been living with an elderly gentleman, and my owner left my fur brother Bear and me with this gentleman several years ago, and never came back for us. :(
Now my elderly caretaker is unable to continue caring for me, so I'm hoping to find someone who needs a cuddle buddy. I get along great with other calm dogs (I'm old and a little crotchety, so younger, energetic dogs get on my nerves. I'm sure you understand). In fact, I would really like another older dog about my size in my forever home. My fur brother Bear is also looking for a home, and it would be wonderful if we could be adopted together! **If you decide to adopt us both, the adoption fee will be $100 for both of us. I like being outside as much as I love naps (and that's A LOT!), so my forever home needs a fenced yard for me to roam around in. Unfortunately, due to my caretaker's limited mobility, I am not house trained or leash trained, so I will need a patient, loving family who is willing to help me learn about those things. In the meantime, I can wear a "belly band" to keep me from making messes inside. I have spent the majority my life with just one person and three dog siblings. I haven't been around cats or kiddos. However, I'm betting I would be just fine with dog savvy cats and calm, respectful, older children. A relatively quiet place with someone who is home more often than not would be ideal.
