Thelma Terrier Mix Biddeford, ME

Thelma is a 14 week old, 24 lb bully breed puppy mix. She will be joining AHR along with her sister Louise from our Louisiana rescue partner, in early February. Thelma and her sister were owner surrendered to a rural shelter, where the owners told the works to just euthanize them. Our rescue partners were able to swoop into action to save these two beautiful girls! We are so grateful to our partners for saving these precious babies!

Thelma is more shy than her sister but loves to sit in your lap.

They are adorable, chunky and very playful pups. They just love other dogs and follow around one of the older dogs in their foster home.

They are currently working on leash training, crate training and house training. They are hoping to find their forever homes in New England soon!

Current pets must by spayed/neutered.

Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming and transport fees.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine or New Hampshire is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.

Imported dogs are transported on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.

Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:
Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training.
Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.
Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy. Well behaved dogs are not born, they are trained! Please do not apply for a puppy if you cannot or do not have the time for a puppy.
