Thea's Story
Thea is a beautiful 1 year old mixed breed pup who recently scored a foster home and is thriving in her new environment. Weighing just 56 pounds, she’s a sweet, playful girl with a big personality. While she can be shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly when allowed to approach on her own terms. Once comfortable, her goofy, bouncy nature and love of life really shine through. She’s especially fond of playing with other dogs and would do best with a canine companion close to her size who enjoys wrestling and roughhousing as much as she does. A confident dog in the home may also help her continue building trust and settling into new environments.

Thea is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Her foster family has been working with her on basic training, and she’s already mastered “sit” and “stay” at the door. They’re currently working on “paw” and “down.” Like many puppies her age, Thea is still learning the ropes—chewing, mouthing, and jumping are all part of her normal puppy behavior. She enjoys toys, bones, and has a special fondness for sticks she finds on her walks.

She needs daily physical activity to burn off her youthful energy and enjoys yard time, long walks, and play sessions with dogs or toys. Though she hasn’t been around children, loud noises and sudden movements make her uneasy, so a quiet, home with older kids would be the best fit. With patience, continued guidance, and a doggy friend to show her the way, Thea is sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion.

Her adoption fee has been sponsored. There is a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:
http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html

For information about this dog's breed(s), visit: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm
