Meet Texas (Tex)
At 14 years young, Texas (Tex) is a sweet and gentle Shih Tzu with a heart full of love. This little guy has spent his whole life as a beloved companion, and now he’s looking for a cozy lap to call his own.
Tex is friendly, social, and enjoys the company of other dogs—he was even a regular at doggy daycare! He’s great with small children (3+), good on a leash, and fully potty trained. His vision and hearing are just fine, and while he may turn his nose up at kibble, he’s happy to chow down on soft food and crunchy treats.
Like any distinguished gentleman, Tex isn’t a fan of having his eyes cleaned, but who can blame him? The good news is he’s getting a little spa treatment this Friday, so he’ll be back to his handsome self in no time! Otherwise, he’s a wonderful, easygoing companion who just wants a warm home, gentle pets, and plenty of love.
