Meet Tessa: Our Tessa is looking for her forever home again: her current adoption is not working out as she is afraid of the Husband in the house - no fault of his, she is scared of his uniform and is not happy and comfortable.Â
Tessa is great around kids - she likes to sleep in the kid's bed and gets along well with other dogs and even cats. She is a little shy and insecure around other dogs, and masks, that by barking at new dogs, until assured and calmly introduced to the dog, then she wants to play. She is shy around some men, we suspect she may have not always been treated kindly by some men and would prefer a female household, but does not react fearfully around all men.
She is fully house and crate trained, is very quiet in the house and does not chew inappropriate things. She is just now discovering toys when she thinks no one is watching. She loves to go on walks but needs some training on how to walk nicely, but she is learning and walks well on a gentle leader.
She is looking for a home where she can get exercise and attention, a soft bed to sleep on and a yard with squirrels to chase.Â
***Please note that not every dog is at every adoption event, if you are looking to meet a specific dog please email us so we may contact the Foster parent.
