Tenny Chihuahua & Terrier Mix Calgary, AB

Hi there, my name is Tenny. I am about 1 year old and about 11 lbs and looking for a home with a fully fenced yard so he can feel free to expend his energy.

Tenny needs a really special family. He has been passed around from a lot of different homes and he has really suffered a lot of sad days as a result. Tenny is a wonderful, snuggly, playful dog, who adores his humans and loves playing with other dogs, but he needs a very experienced, patient, and child free family, because he is very fearful of new things and can lash out when scared. He is working on training and building his confidence, and he’s learning really, really fast! Training is his favourite part of the day! He needs to go on training walks every day to build his confidence, and right now he’s making amazing progress. He walks very well on leash and is a master of sitting and waiting patiently.

Tenny is mostly housetrained, but still doesn’t know how to ask to go outside all the time, so he still has accidents occasionally. He adores his doggie foster brothers, although he has a dominant streak, so he needs lots of time to adjust to his place in the pack. He is incredibly cuddly, a great napping and TV companion, and utterly delightful to play fetch or tug-of-war with. Tenny needs someone who is willing to help him continue building his confidence and let him love them with all his heart.

Please note that Little Mutts Rescue adoption fees are generally $475 for dogs 1-3 years old (young adult), $350 for dogs that are 4-7 years old (mature adult), $250 for dogs over 8+ years old (senior). Includes spay / neuter, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchip, and a vet certificate of health (please note that if puppies are born in Calgary, we do not have a vet certificate to provide).
