Meet Teddy the Toy Poodle

We were recently contacted by a local groomer and asked if we can help with a dog who was rescued from a puppy mill / hoarding situation. Of course, we said yes. We named this dog Teddy and he was severely matted when he was acquired. We didn't want to share the pictures publicly but if an interested adopter wanted to see what he looked like before he was groomed, we would gladly share.
Teddy was immediately taken to a vet for vaccinations and bloodwork. The veterinarian estimated him to be around 7 years of age and in very good health. He weighs in at a whopping 8 lbs. We got him shots and his bloodwork was pretty near perfect. Teddy has been started on heartworm and flea and tick preventatives and he has a neuter scheduled for May 12th with one of our rescue vets. He is going to need a dental at some point in time. Afterward his neuter, he will be ready to find a home. Adopters with "puppy mill daddys" experience under their belt are a definite plus. Teddy is a "marker" and we are hoping that behavior fades away once he is neutered. Foster mom and dad are using belly bands for now and they are working fine. Teddy LOVES other dogs. Sometimes a bit too much as he can be a ""humper" which is understandable for now. He is loving and affectionate but he needs an experienced owner. If you would like to submit an adoption application for Teddy, you can do so on the rescue website at OneLifeToLiveRescue.com. Someone will be in touch once your application is reviewed and we will be very happy to share more information and pictures with you at that time. Teddy is being fostered in Scranton and after he has been neutered we can set up a "meet and greet" with potential adopters. His suggested adoption donation is $400 in order to help recover a bit of the cost of his vetting. Thank you for considering our little rescued, poodle man who now goes by the name of "Teddy".
Teddy was neutered on Friday, (5-12-23). He is now ready to find his "forever" home. Sweet little Teddy was adopted by his foster mom today. He will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of his life in West Scranton, PA!!
