Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy — the happiest little “Tigger” you’ll ever meet

Male | ~1 years old | 45lbs | Carolina Dog | Saved from Moreno Valley (A544635)

Teddy may have come from one of the toughest shelters in California, but you’d never know it from the joy he carries now. This boy is pure sunshine with a wiggle. His foster lovingly describes him as a “little Tigger,” bouncing around everywhere he goes. He doesn’t run — he hops, he boings, and he brings laughter into every room.

Personality - Teddy is a fun, affectionate, and enthusiastic young dog who is soaking in his second chance. He has a naturally upbeat spirit and loves engaging with people. Whether he’s bouncing around the yard or settling in for attention, he radiates gratitude and excitement for life.

Training and Behavior - Teddy is very treat-motivated and eager to learn. In fact, he has already learned that sitting earns him snacks — so much so that he will sit constantly just in case a treat appears. His food motivation makes him an excellent candidate for continued training and structure.

He’s energetic and playful but also attentive and responsive. A little routine and positive reinforcement will help him thrive even more.

Ideal Home - Teddy would be a wonderful fit for an active adopter or family who appreciates a dog with personality and bounce. A yard to play in or regular outings would help channel his energy in a healthy way.

He would do well with:

Someone who enjoys a playful, high-spirited dog

A home that appreciates training and structure

A family excited about a young, eager-to-learn companion

Why Teddy is Special

Teddy survived months in a high-stress environment and somehow emerged joyful, affectionate, and full of life.
