Hello there, my name is Taz and I’m an adorable young female looking for my furever home.
A few things you should know about me are:
I'm not a lapdog, and I like my personal space — attention is fine, but on my terms, thank you very much.
If you're looking for an instant cuddlebug, l'm probably not your gal. I have trust issues and require patience.
You've got to earn my trust first - once you do, I might just let my guard down and show you my softer side (maybe). I'm definitely not interested in babysitting duties, so any kids in the home should be 13 and older who can respect my boundaries.
I might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I know there's someone out there who appreciates a dog with personality, independence, and just a hint of sass.
Recently there was a breakthrough. My foster had some lady and her kids coming over. I was not happy and didn’t understand where the people went that I finally trusted. They did the best thing. They gave me space. They opened my crate and let me go outside on my own. I was scared but I did it!!! I walked past them and went potty but then I became super curious and decided to go over and check them out. It was great. They didn’t rush to pet me or pick me up. Just let me come to them and within 2 days, we were buds. I mean, I still need patience but great strides were made that day.
