Tart's Story
Meet Tart, a three-pound Applehead Chihuahua who is as adorable as they come. This tiny boy arrived with his siblings and mother from Fresno, where they were living in harsh conditions, but he’s thriving now in foster care. At just 8–12 weeks old, Tart is still a baby—full of curiosity, playfulness, and charm.

Tart has the cutest long legs that make him bounce around like a little deer, and his oversized “bat ears” only add to his unique look. He is shy at first but eager to be brave, and with love and encouragement, his confidence continues to grow.

Because he’s so young, Tart will need a family prepared for all things puppy: training, patience, and plenty of playtime. His ideal home would be a house with a yard, a flexible schedule, and another friendly dog to help guide him and be his playmate. Puppies thrive with canine companionship, and Tart is no exception.

When full grown, he’ll likely weigh up to 10 pounds. He will be ready to go home after his neuter, but we’re starting to look for his forever family now so he’ll have a plan lined up when he’s ready.

If you have the time, resources, and love to commit to raising a puppy, Tart could be the perfect little companion for you.

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
