Meet Tara
-***Tara need an experienced owner and one willing to spend some time rehabilitating her-***--
-Tara came to us after spending 4 months in a shelter after her original owner was evicted from his home and was unable to care for her anymore. She was a volunteer favourite at the shelter, and was adopted out once, but was brought back for nipping. One of the shelter dog walkers contacted us and asked if we could take her as they were afraid she was never going to get adopted from the shelter. Tara is 8 years old, is house trained, crate trained, spayed and vaccinated and is incredibly smart, she learns commands extremely quickly, and responds very well to positive reinforcement. She loves to go for walks, although she does pull somewhat, loves to play and absolutely loves to cuddle with her humans. She is also very good with other dogs. Tara's dominant nature in her previous home has resulted in her coming into rescue with a bite history. However we have worked with her, and developed a set of rules and when the rules are kept in place, Tara is a total sweetie. We will provide complete instructions for the new owners on how to manage her. She needs to go to a dog experienced, only adult home where everyone in the home will follow the rules and will be willing to work with her. ---------------------------
