Meet Tango, the giant mush ball

Meet TANGO (ID #A43123604), the giant mushball! Tango is a hugger and really longs for a couch with a soft blanket to longe on. This distinguished gentleman came to the shelter back in October as a lost dog. Although he was microchipped, the chip wasn’t registered so his owners could not be found. Staff describes him as relaxed and a people pleaser. He will hop up to hug you, but this isn’t overbearing. He would climb into your lap if you let him. He can live with other dogs, so long as they are calm and kind of leave him to his space. If you live in a busy active household, Tango might not be for you. Not saying he’s lazy! But he’s retired, and he’s ready to live that relaxing lifestyle. He’s easy on a leash, and loves sticks! Tango is heartworm positive; the shelter pays for treatment. Tango had a few lumps and bumps removed, but they proved to be benign. Judging from the condition of his body, Tango seems to have had a hard life. We would love to send him home where he’ll have a comfortable bed to lie on and all the back rubs he desires - what else does an old man want? What kind of dog is Tango? Well, he has the feet of a mastiff (huge), the head of a bully, and body of a boxer. So it’s anyone’s guess. We just call him a “good boy,” and that suits him just fine.
Tango recently worked (maybe some sleeping on t e job) as our front office dog and everyone enjoyed his company.
Tango is kennel trained, weighs about 52 pounds and is about 10 years young.
Adoption includes vaccinations, neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
